Since the golden era of Hip-Hop the chain stacking has been a status symbol for wealth in black and brown communities.  As the decades go by chain stacking has remained a staple in streetwear as a form of personal expression. In Chain Heavy I am exploring the variety of ways that people choose to express themselves with their jewelry, while combining Man Ray’s Rayographs and Rauschenberg Blueprint techniques to create cyanotypes keeping the tradition of pictorialism alive.  By bringing fashion and art together I wanted to show the world that these traditions are truly Art forms themselves.
